Description:

1. To act as the Council's non-executive lead Member to promote the delivery of the Council's initiatives in respect of its work to support business growth and investment.
2. To act as critical friend to the Director for Economic Prosperity & Place and his team and the respective Cabinet Member in pursuit of the Council's priorities and projects that support inward investment into the district as well as enabling the growth of existing businesses.
3. To engage with partners and stakeholders to represent the Council in projects and initiatives that are relevant to the role in championing business and enterprise related outcomes.
4. To engage and liaise with local residents and businesses, as required, promoting projects and initiatives.
5. To assist with the landing of new investment in the district.
6. To liaise with and from time to time attend the ReWyre Board in an observer capacity.
7. To report to the Council's Members' Forum from time to time on the activity undertaken as Member Champion.
