Member Champion for Place

Description:

1. To act as the Council's non-executive lead Member to promote the delivery of the Council's initiatives in respect of its place-making agenda, including supporting infrastructure.
2. To act as critical friend to the Director for Economic Prosperity & Place and his team and the respective Cabinet Member in pursuit of the Council's priorities and projects that contribute to the improvement of the district and its environs through regeneration, connectivity and infrastructure improvements.
3. To engage with partners and stakeholders to represent the Council in projects and initiatives that are relevant to the role in championing the delivery of place related outcomes.
4. To represent the Council on the Kidderminster Town Team and if required on any Business Improvement District (BID) Team.
5. To engage and liaise with local residents and businesses, as required, to promote projects and initiatives;
6. To promote the Council's ReWyre ReNewed regeneration initiative, including from time to time attending the ReWyre Board.
7. To report to the Council's Members' Forum from time to time on the activity undertaken as Member Champion.
