Section 3: Assisting Constituents
Following my election to Wyre Forest District Council May 2016, I have experienced a challenging, yet rewarding year. The major part of my time has been spent helping residents with a variety of issues: speeding, parking, planning and antisocial behaviour are just a few to mention.
I am proactive within the ward by making myself visible to constituents, whether walking around our area, or through the District website, where my contact details are freely available.
Where an issue is raised by a constituent, I take great pride in examining these in a timely fashion, in person. These face to face discussions demand real communication and actions. This approach has been received warmly and, whilst I have not always been able to deliver a positive outcome for residents, they have always been appreciative for my support and contact.
Section 4: Supplementary Information
I have been an elected member of Stourport Town Council for past 6yrs. During this time I have been involved in various committees such as: Finance, Parks, Civic Centre Working Party and currently Vice Chair of Grants Committee.
Attendance at various meetings to help improve the lifestyle of residents and services of Stourport: Blue Light Hub, Diamond Buses, St Wulston and St Thomas Catholic Church.
