Section 3: Community Involvement

I attend regular meetings with partner organisations and agencies to support and promote the ward. I liaise with Community Housing to help tenants with their housing problems, additionally I work with the Safer Neighbourhood Team the office of the Police & Crime Commissioner to help with anti-social behaviour. I report issues of responsibility to the County Council such as highway, speeding, potholes. I also work with Worcestershire Regulatory Services to assist residents.

Section 4: Assisting Constituents

I primarily receive communication from residents by email, but also by telephone calls. There are a wide range of issues, from concerns about housing, speeding, planning, community transport. Additionally, residents will raise issues that concern localised neighbour problems. I am a member of a number of local Facebook groups and respond where appropriate and again residents use this media to raise issues that concern them. I deliver to every household in the ward around 4 times a year a newsletter. I work with both Community Housing and the Police on a walkabout around the ward on a regular basis which affords residents the opportunity to contact me directly.

Section 5: Supplementary Information

I use the Community Leadership fund to promote local charities that benefit the residents in my ward. As an elected councillor I endeavour to assist whenever I can, or if the matter lies outside the responsibility of the District Council work with the County Council or with the Member of Parliament if appropriate.
