Activities
I continue to keep in touch with the residents of Franche Ward through bi-monthly Franche Matters newsletters. My communication details are listed and there is a freepost cut off section for individual responses. The e mail facility is being used more frequently by the electorate.

Personal visits, specific letters and campaigns are undertaken to inform and represent residents' local concerns such as community safety issues, parking problems, street cleanliness, highways management and planning information.

I share group casework with my colleague Councillor Jeff Baker.

I attend ward Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meetings, Wyre Forest Community Housing Tenants Consultative Committee Meetings and estate walkabouts.

I used my Community Grant Funding to support the following:

Children's free swims during the summer holidays at the Glades.

New studio equipment for the “Talking Newspaper”, now located at St Barnabas Community Hall.

Planting of a tree in open space in Franche.

Replacement of young people's cricket equipment destroyed by fire at Kidderminster Cricket Club.

I am a Charter Trustee of Kidderminster.

Achievements during the Year
Through negotiation, successful outcomes achieved on a wide range of case work for ward residents.

Representing the Administration of Wyre Forest District Council in partnership working at Regional, County and District levels.

Multi use Games area installed on White Wickets sports area. A campaign success.

Members' Surgeries
Two held in Church Hall and Community Centre with Councillor Baker.

Worcestershire PCT contract to Dudley Group of Hospitals on behalf of residents in Wyre Forest who choose to be treated there. There are 854 members of the Trust in Wyre Forest (as at 1/12/08)

Gained Foundation status on 30/09/08 Governors of Foundation Trusts are there to provide a challenge to the Trust Board and give feedback and input into business plannings. They also represent their local communities.
