ANNUAL REPORT OF ACTIVITIES 2010/11
Ward Activities this year, including outside bodies:
In my six years as a Franche ward Councillor, I have continued to keep in contact with residents through our regular Franche Matters newsletter, personal contact through home visits, phone calls and emails.
Through the newsletter I have started a campaign for the resurfacing of Mill Street, Kidderminster asking for the support of the Community.
I have established a working partnership with police officers through the Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meetings
I Joined the first litter pick with the newly formed Franche Community Team based at the Franche Evangelical Church in Chestnut Grove, Kidderminster.
I am a Governor at Franche Community School.
I am a Governor at St Catherines Church of England School, Marlpool lane, Franche.
I am a Trustee of Claire Witnell and Blount Almshouses, Wilton Ave, Franche.
I attend Community Housing Tenants meetings and walkabouts.
I am a Charter Trustee of Kidderminster.
Highlights:
A Lengthsman scheme set up to keep the verges and footways in Franche tidy.
Majority of roads now resurfaced with the added safety of new street lighting on the main roads through Franche.
Youth facilities completed on the open community space at White Wickets, Kidderminster.
Improvement in waste collections with use of ONE bin for all recycled items.

• Particular interest in health and social issues.
