ANNUAL REPORT OF ACTIVITIES 2010/11
Ward Activities this year, including outside bodies:
I am a governor of St Wulstan's RC Primary School and also Hartlebury CofE Primary School representing them on their internal finance committee.
I have worked closely with Tesco in securing the flood plain from vehicle access.
I have organised a consultation evening with Taylor Wimpey with regard to future planning applications to build houses.
I have responded to letters and emails along with phone calls.
I am constantly representing the people of Stourport on scrutiny committees and the Project Board – Stourport-on-Severn Facilities.
Highlights:
The opportunity to chair a Steering group (which is non political), looking at suitable venues for the towns Civic amenities. This hopefully, will give the chance of Asset Transfer to the community. Focus Groups have been set up to encourage volunteer groups with a view to taking ownership and map the future for the people of Stourport. Two Focus Groups have been formed covering the Arts and Theatre among with leisure facilities.
Special Knowledge:
Having had external training in Chairmainships and I now chair the Audit Committee, and the Stourport Facilities Board.
I am also the editor and writer of the Conservative Newsletters for Stourport-on-Severn.
