ANNUAL REPORT OF ACTIVITIES 2009/10
COUNCILLOR: Chris Nicholls
WARD: Cookley
Section 1: Ward Activities (including Surgeries)
I hold regular surgeries at Cookley Sports and Social Club ˇV first Saturday of the month.
I have monthly consultations with residents regarding planning applications in conjunction with other parish councillors.

„X Regular attendance at Cookley Tenants Consultative Committee.
„X Communication with the community via a newsletter.
Section 2: Council Meetings
Budget Review Panel, Corporate Resources Scrutiny Committee,
Chairman of Corporate Performance Clinic Review Panel, Council, Ethics & Standards, Kidderminster Educational Foundation, No Barriers Review Panel, Planning, and Regulatory Services Review Panel.
Section 3: Achievements
Chrisˇ¦s Leadership fund was allocated towards the following communities initiatives:
1. Creation of new Cookley website
2. Cookley Primary Schools traditional Wassail including torchlight procession
3.Subsidised Local children on a twinning visit to Germany
4. Subsided local children at the Morris dancing 10th anniversary event.
I continue to promote the interests of our village community e.g. maintaining the Green Belt and representing residentsˇ¦ views at relevant Council and committee meetings.
I liaise with the police and other outside bodies via PACT meetings to resolve issues for the benefit of our community.
I continue to monitor the Parish Plan.
Section 3: Achievements - Continued
As a Governor for Cookley Primary School, I continue to assist in its development.
I continue to play an active role in the life of our village.
In conjunction with Worcestershire County Council, new road markings on the junction of the A449/Castle Road, Cookley will hopefully improve traffic safety.
I play an active role in the life of village.
Section 4: Special Knowledge
Using the wealth of experience I gained as your District Councillor for the last 19 years, to continue to promote your views and interests.
Cookley is a very good place to live with a true community spirit.
Unfortunately due to the rebuilding of our sports and social club, no Christmas party was held in 2009, however, there will be a great party in 2010!
