ANNUAL REPORT OF ACTIVITIES 2009/10

WARD: Offmore & Comberton
Section 1: Ward Activities (including Surgeries)
Along with my Ward Colleagues, I produce and deliver our FOCUS Newsletter to every house throughout the year on a regular, at least monthly, basis.
I hold an Advice Centre at Brookside Children‘s Centre on the first Tuesday in the month from 10-12.
I serve on the local Partners and Communities Together (PACT) Panel and attend all PACT meetings.
I attend meetings of the Offmore and Comberton Tenants Consultative Committee.
Section 2: Council Meetings
Audit Committee, Centralised Office & Transformational Board, Council, Group Leaders', Kidderminster Educational Foundation, Kidderminster Educational Foundation Working Group, Licensing & Environmental, Local Development Framework Core Strategy Review Panel, No Barriers Review Panel, Parking Review Panel, Planning, Regulatory Services Review Panel, Renewable Energy and Efficiency Review Panel and Treasury Management Review Panel.
Section 3: Achievements
As a Member of the Management Committee of the Offmore Comberton Action Group (OCAG), I am involved in organising our local Community Carnival, the Borrington Bash. Through OCAG I have been instrumental in gaining over £16,000 in Grant Aid this year to provide a Trim Trail.
I used my Councillor Activity Grant to fund the training of a student at King Charles 1 High School as a Young Adviser.
I serve as a Governor on Stourminster Special School (Chair), Offmore and Comberton Primary Schools, King Charles 1 High School and the new Wyre Forest Special School (Vice Chair).
I serve as a Councillor Representative on the Management Committee of the Kidderminster / Husum Twinning Committee.
Section 4: Special Knowledge
