ANNUAL REPORT OF ACTIVITIES 2009/10

WARD: Sutton Park
Section 1: Ward Activities (including Surgeries)
I was made Cabinet Member for Housing & Environmental Services in May 2009 which includes Housing, Health, Licensing, Environmental Services, Streetscene, Toilets, Markets and parking.
I am Governor of Sutton Park Community Primary School who have just moved into their new building.
I attend Sutton Park Ward Partners and Communities Together (PACT) Meetings where the main issues continue to be inconsiderate parking and speeding.
I attend Friends of Brinton Park Group (FOBP) meetings. I have just printed and distributed 1,500 flyers for FOBP Group for their Easter Trail in the Park.
I attend Hillcrest Residents Meetings.
Section 2: Council Meetings
Regular Council Meetings I attend are: Cabinet, Council, Licensing & Environmental, Parish Forum, Parking Review Panel, Quarterly Scrutiny Briefings and Regulatory Services Review Panel.
Other meetings include Parish Chairmen Meeting, Landlords Forum, Private Rented Sector Working Group, Wyre Forest Community Housing, Nightstop, Taxi Liaison Meetings, Worcestershire Partnership Environment Group (WPEG), Flood Risk Management Strategy Group Meetings, Scrutiny Meetings Homelessness Forum and Community Forum.
Section 3: Achievements
I have handled an additional 100 approximately issues (these were raised this year as some case work carried over from last year) raised by local residents. Mainly housing issues, litter, parking but my main achievement for this year – which took about a year of campaigning to achieve - would be having extra drains installed in Crescent Road which has improved the lives of local residents.
