Section 3: Assisting Constituents
I have a 100% record of responding to casework issues raised with me by local residents. It would be very time and space consuming to list them all, but as examples:
Following a campaign last year, I have had the section of the River Stour in Castle Road cleared, which involved much collaboration with various agencies, including Wyre Forest District Council and Canals & River Trust.
I have had various areas litter picked including Park Street and Wood Street. I have had trees pollarded and bushes/trees cut in various areas. I have had double yellow lines investigated for Claughton Street and speeding issues investigated in Summerhill Avenue. I have had drains unblocked in Bewdley Hill and pavements mended in Pershore Road and Stourport Road.
I am campaigning for resurfacing in Lansdown Green and in Sutton Park Road.
I respond either by phone, email or letter, to suit the resident, we also include response slips in our newsletters, of which we have delivered about 25,000 across the ward. My mobile phone number is quoted in newsletters, so I am contactable 7 days a week.
I offer ward surgeries every week, on demand and attend PACT Meetings, including mobile PACT.
Section 4: Supplementary Information
Together with Churches Together in Kidderminster and my fellow Conservative Ward Cllrs, I help put on the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Brinton Park. This year over 350 local children attended, an increase of 100 ‘hunters' on last year.
