Ward Activities this year, including outside bodies:
- Resident-Led Casework
- Delivery of 18,000 leaflets to keep residents informed
- Canvassing residents to talk personally about issues
- Attendance at Friends of Brinton Park Meetings including :
- Waitressing in Brinton Park
- Helping with Easter Trail With Local Schools
- Elected as Chair of Governors of Sutton Park School
- Attending Wyre Forest Community Safety Partnership
- Attending Kidderminster & District Youth Trust
- Attending Wyre Forest Children and Young Persons Local Strategic Partnership
Highlights (Just some of them..):
- Handing out Sports Awards
- Attending the Dance Festival
- Helping local children's sports club to get £10k in funding
- Promoting Big Society projects
- Attending the Country & Western Festival
- Seeing the Friends of Brinton Park Lottery Bid evolve
- Helping at the Subway Deluxe Project
- Helping with the Canalside Clear Up Project
- Opening the Orchard & Play Area at QEII Gardens
Special Knowledge:
- Working for local MP gives me an understanding of Government Depts
- As Managing Director of a property company, I understand about efficient working practices and getting value for money
- As a Cabinet Member, I hear about all areas of WFDC
- Being born and bred in Wyre Forest means I have good local knowledge
- As a working mother, I understand the issues faced by families
- Most importantly, being organised and answering all calls, emails and Letters, every time
