ANNUAL REPORT OF ACTIVITIES 2009/10

WARD: Broadwaters
Section 1: Ward Activities (including Surgeries)
A large amount of my work relates to many issues raised by tenants and Community Housing.
Other concerns of the residents of Broadwaters relate to the state of the roads within the ward. As a County Councillor for St. Georges and St. Oswalds which covers most of the Broadwaters area, I have submitted reports to the County Council.
Other issues have been addressed for residents where they have requested support on Council or personal matters.
I have regularly been attending local Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meetings, where issues such as anti-social behaviour, drugs and alcohol are raised.
I have helped to set up boxercise and after school activities for young children to help tackle anti-social behaviour in the community.
One of my daily routines is to carry out walkabouts within my ward, listening to public opinion on community matters which affect the local residents and ensuring their views are heard.

Council and Kidderminster Educational Foundation.
Section 3: Achievements
I assisted in the Horsefair toilet block being knocked down and built upon.
I have arranged for Streetscene to regularly clean streets within my ward.
I have donated my locally determined fund to community events such as boxercise and swimming.
I have worked closely with friends of St. Georges to organise local events.
I have dealt with over 3,000 emails in the past year.
I strongly believe that if I can help any organisation or any individual, then that it is my duty to do so as an elected member of the Council.
I do not want praise, I just want to help. I feel I am an effective and hard working member of my community and any achievements that can be accredited to me are for residents to judge.
