ANNUAL REPORT OF ACTIVITIES 2010/11
Ward Activities this year, including outside bodies:
I am a District Councillor for Broadwaters and a County Councillor for St
Georges and St Oswald which covers mostly Broadwaters and part of Greenhill.
I am constantly working on a host of issues on behalf of the constituents. These include housing matters, street cleaning and maintenance of parks and environment, crime and disorder matters.
I have aided the re-housing of several constituents with serious housing problems.
I have worked closely with the local policing team on racial and drug related matters.
I do not hold surgeries, however I try to walk the whole of Broadwaters once a month. I am also available at all the other resident meetings I attend.
I have also been involved in the public consultation on the Public art project at the Horsefair triangle.
I have constantly worked on arranging for potholes in my ward to be filled and for public footpath improvements in and around the Broadwaters area. I have also been working closely with teachers, staff and parents of St Marys and St Oswalds Primary school for after school clubs.

Special Knowledge:
Having lived in Hurcott Road for 30 years and being a local businessman, I have vast experience and knowledge of the area and believe people in the ward need a face to face contact with their Councillor. I am fluent in 2 languages and am able to help and interpret for the Bangladeshi community.
I am also a governor of St Ambrose school.
