Section 1: Ward Activities (including Surgeries)
I was elected in September 2009 in the Lickhill by-election.
Activities include: Residents confidential ward work, I attended all Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meetings for Lickhill and Mitton. I was involved in the Building Schools for the Future planning for the build of the new Stourport Primary school and involved with Worcestershire County Council on speeding issues in Lickhill Road, Lickhill Residents Association redevelopment of Worth Crescent play area, Development issues – Memorial Gardens
I attend highways Forums on local issues.
I also assist the police on ward and local issues.
Section 2: Council Meetings
Budget Review Panel, Corporate Resources Scrutiny Committee, Council, Planning and Regulatory Services Review Panel.
I was also on the selection panel for the appointment of the new Chief Executive, Ian Miller.
I have also been involved in all pre-budget meetings and the Worcestershire Enhanced Two Tier initiative.
Section 3: Achievements
Raising finance to help in the development of Worth Crescent play area.
Assisting the police in the development activities for young people.
Raising funds for a youth centre on the skate park.
Raising funds to help with the cost of visits for the underprivileged children.
Section 4: Special Knowledge
Currently I am the leader of Stourport Town Council, a Wyre Forest District Councillor and a Worcestershire County Councillor, this enables me to get involved in the wider issues in Stourport and the area in general.
I have received training at County Council and District Council for the areas of Council work that I am involved in.
Training from Worcestershire County Association of Local Councils Certificate.
Retired from my own Logistics and Packaging businesses and with my previous record in business management since 1962 gives me a wealth of experience to assist in Management at all levels of Councils activities.
