ANNUAL REPORT OF ACTIVITIES 2010/11
Ward Activities this year, including outside bodies:
Through regular monthly newsletters (Focus) circulated all across Greenhill Ward, I keep in touch with the electorate as part of a Liberal Team of two District Members and a County Member. Issues which continue to affect the public in the past year are street cleanliness, anti-social behaviour.

As a Governor at Offmore Primary School, I remain interested in the consequences of the new build programme. The school is presently using temporary accommodation until the new school is built.

The proposed resiting of the St Georges School entrance on the Birmingham Road has also raised some local objections, due to the rebuilding of the school.

I continue to make every effort to be responsive and helpful at all times to the public to whom at the end of day I am accountable as their elected member. My home telephone number and address are readily available and are regularly used by the public with increasing contact through my email address.

Working alongside Councillor Ballinger and the knowledge gained from my mother who was a previous Greenhill Councillor, has enabled our team to have yet another very successful year.

Excellent attendance from the public at the PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meetings both at St. Ambrose and Hoo Road Scout Hut have resulted in positive outcomes to peoples concerns.

Feedback from local residents through our regular newsletter continues to form our direction.

I visit people in their homes and community groups at their request and spend a lot of time talking to residents during the regular distribution of our newsletters.

Ward councillors are invited by the Community Housing Group, the main social housing partner of the Council, to attend the meetings of the Tenant Consultative Committees (TCC) which involve their wards, and I have attended meetings of the Greenhill Tenant Consultative Committee (TCC).

As a Wyre Forest District Councillor representing a Kidderminster ward, I am a member of the Charter Trustees of the Town of Kidderminster. I have attended meetings of this body, including robed public meetings in support of the Town Mayor, such as:

• Mayor Making
• Mayor's Sunday
• Remembrance Sunday

Highlights:
In my first year as a Councillor, I have enjoyed learning all the new skills needed to help me be as effective as possible. It has been a steep learning curve, but thoroughly enjoyable.

Special Knowledge:
My business/financial background has been a big help to me in carrying out my councillor duties.

Attendance Percentage for 2010/11
75%.
