Notes:
ANNUAL REPORT OF ACTIVITIES 2010/11
Ward Activities this year, including outside bodies:
I have responded to many varied concerns by residents including highway problems, boundary disputes, benefit entitlement, disability care, disabled parking permits and planning queries. I have attended the Habberley Tenants committee meetings and the Area 1 Community Housing meetings, in addition to attending the local PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meetings where I helped resolve issues raised by residents. I am a committee member of the Sports and Leisure committee which meets regularly with D.C. Leisure who manage Wyre Forest Leisure Centres and swimming pools. I have circulated regular Newsletters and provided residents with the opportunity to attend a Surgery with our MP within the ward.
I serve as a School Governor of St. John's Primary School where I am Chairman of the Premises committee.
Highlights:
I have had many highlights achieved by perseverance in helping ward residents whose kind thanks have been very rewarding and encouraging. One particular case was a situation in which a local resident was entitled to benefits which they were not receiving. Through my co-operation with other agencies, the appropriate benefits were provided.
Special Knowledge:
I believe that I engage well with residents and that they in return find me approachable. My considerable supervisory / management experience in problem solving equips me well to resolve problems efficiently. I have also taken advantage of councillor training provided by WFDC.
Attendance Percentage for 2010/11
