Description:

1. To act as the Council's non-executive lead Member to promote the delivery of the Council's initiatives in respect of its work to support the improvement of a skilled workforce.
2. To act as critical friend to the Director for Economic Prosperity & Place and his team and the respective Cabinet Member in pursuit of the Council's priorities and projects that support the improvement of the district's residents' skills and ability to access jobs.
3. To engage with partners and stakeholders to represent the Council in projects and initiatives that are relevant to the role in championing ‘people' related outcomes.
4. To engage and liaise with local residents and businesses, as required, promoting projects and initiatives.
5. To liaise with and from time to time attend the North Worcestershire Employment & Skills Board in an observer capacity.
6. To report to the Council's Members' Forum from time to time on the activity undertaken as Member Champion.
